The R Auszeit - Hof introduces itself
Owners and creative minds
My name is Nina Rudolph. Since 2013 I have been working as a special needs teacher with a focus on mental and physical/motor development. For a long time I worked at the Oberlin School of the Evangelical Volmarstein Foundation. Among other things, I worked in classes with a focus on "complex impairments" and ASD (autism spectrum disorders). Before that I was a substitute teacher at the school for mental development at the Höh in Lüdenscheid, and during my studies I was able to work for many years at the kmE school "Max von der Grün" in Olpe. I am currently working at the regular Schanhollen and Pestalozzi primary schools in Kierspe and from August I will also be working at the Rahlenberg primary school in Herscheid.
My husband Thomas Rudolph has been working as a high school teacher since 2013 and is responsible for everything that has to do with repairs, meadows, fences, wood and (camp)fires. In addition to growing crops and herbs, cooking is another passion that benefits us all.
Our two children also share our love of nature and animals. Josi's focus is on working with animals, while Simon enthusiastically pursues his passion for plants and insects.
Our RAuszeit core family is supported by a great team:
Jenny Dörschel, Caro Arnold, Andrea Heetmann-Thiel, Anna and Johannes Lebershausen as well as Joanna Rudolph and Janna and Mathilda Rose support us both as volunteers and in the future as seasonal freelancers when I am busy with work or the number of participants makes a larger number of employees necessary.
One part of the team would like to introduce themselves with a photo, the other part is hesitant ;):
Jenny Dörschel supports us as a volunteer and enjoys giving her little daughter Lia a R time out at the same time. She works as a special needs nurse in the Gotteshütte with adults with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and loves everything that crawls and flies. Jenni often helps to nurse injured animal patients back to health and always likes to organize group trips for people with disabilities to our R time out.
Anna is studying social education and is our valuable backup when one of our team members is unavailable. As a former integration worker, Anna's main goal was to educate and promote the independence and integration of the students entrusted to her. She now works part-time in the OGS at the Bismarckschule Kierspe and, as part of the team, supports the social learning of children across different age groups by offering activities that promote living and learning in a community, respectful interaction with one another and social skills. Another important part of her work is participation through improved opportunities for parents and students to have a say, participate in the design and take on responsibility. Anna keeps a busy schedule when it comes to her free time and is always there to help and advise us.
Fortunately, her brother Johannes is now also volunteering to help us during his upcoming teacher training course after many years of working at the OGS, so that he doesn't lose sight of the theory and the practical work with the children. We are very happy about that!
Carolin Arnold was able to implement her wonderful action-oriented ideas on an adventure-based educational farm (Landholfshausen) for several years. Here she worked with weekly children's groups, with whom she grew plants, tended fields and beds and harvested at the end of the year. She made cheese and bread with the children and worked closely with the farm animals and the children in terms of care and handling. Caro now runs a successful breeding operation for black, white and spotted East Frisian dairy sheep in Marienheide. She is the mother of two girls, Mairy and Liska, and little Nathan, who are happy to accompany their mother's (still) voluntary activities during our time off. Caro's dream is to open her own large farm with sustainable food production offers. As long as this lasts, she happily supports us from time to time so that she doesn't "get rusty".
Caro's husband Kevin Arnold is our sheep shearer, who is also happy to help us with advice and support.
Andrea Heetmann - Thiel is a teacher who devotes herself to children, young people, animals and nature with passion and great joy. For decades she enriched the teaching staff at the Kierspe comprehensive school, helped to stage great plays, designed religious education classes and contributed creatively. Since Andrea was looking for a new field of activity after her retirement, we are very grateful that she is now supporting our team on a voluntary basis with her competence, open-mindedness and her very friendly nature. In her free time, Andrea loves being with her horse, her two dogs, going on hikes with her husband and two- and other four-legged friends, and regularly playing so-called escape room games.
In addition to our two-legged employees, our animal teammates are presented in our photo galleries.
